The Lacroix Loft + Landings is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Covington surrounded by restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and trails. The Grande Landing is the left side unit of the first floor with no shared indoor areas. The Lacroix Grande Landing embodies the true essence of Southern Historic homes with 10 feet ceilings, original hard wood floors, original bead board walls, French doors, transom windows, thick base boards and trim, huge wood windows, ceiling fans, and new recessed lighting. The Grande Landing is one of three units offered at The Lacroix Loft + Landings property. All 3 individual units can be combined into serving a group that has needs for multiple accommodations and can serve up to 15 guests. Each unit, including the Grande Landing, has its private entry code and own bedroom(s) and bathroom. The other unit options are The Luxe Landing (2bdrm/1bath/kitchenette/sleeps 4) and The Loft Apartment (1bdrm loft apartment/1bath/full kitchen/sleeps 6)

The Grande Landing bathroom is constructed of slate floors and a claw foot tub with detachable shower head. There is a kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee pot, dishwasher, gas stove, washer and dryer, pots, pans, utensils, dinnerware, glassware, coffee/sugar/creamer, trash bags, towels, and a “Louisiana Welcome Basket” of sorts with local snacks and drinks. The dining room features a bar and a “take some leave some” offering of wine and spirits. There is also a desk, sofa, and bench in the grande entry hallway. The living room has 2 more sofas, large ottoman, and curved flat screen TV. The front Queen bedroom also has a Smart TV (with basic cable included) and has a Tempur-Pedic foam mattress with mattress pad for the ultimate in restful sleep with a French Door leading onto the front porch with swings and wicker chairs. The second bedroom has the same TV accommodations with a bunk bed having a twin mattress on top and a full mattress on the bottom. There are ceiling fans for added circulation and big bright windows. The back deck is shared space and has outdoor sectionals, umbrellas, TV, and tables. The bathroom has towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner and body wash and all beds have linens, throws, pillows and blankets .Guest parking is in the rear of the house. The rear driveway is off of “Walker Alley” street which is a one way street that runs perpendicular to Florida Street (the street the house faces). There is also street parking and public parking lots called Oxlots. @lacroixcovington

The Lacroix Loft + Landings is comprised of three units available to rent, each with its own private entrance. The bottom floor houses the Luxe Landing (sleeps 4), and the Grande Landing (sleeps 5-6), while the upper floor is the Loft Apartment (sleeps 6). Guests of the Grande Landing will have private access to half of the bottom floor of the home, as well as shared space on the backyard patio deck and the front porch. The neighborhood is extremely safe and walkable. The Lacroix is in the middle of Downtown Covington so it may be noisy at times due to traffic, trash pick up, or people walking around shopping or dining.

The Lacroix is a short walk to any Downtown Covington activity. You can leave your car parked at the Duplex and walk to your favorite restaurant, bar, or boutique. One block South is the Bogue Falaya River to easily launch a kayak, one block North is the Tammany Trace Trail for hiking/biking, one block West is the Columbia Street Landing, and two blocks West is the Bogue Falaya Park and Playground for all your outdoor activities and we are surrounded 360 degrees by restaurants, bars, shopping, salons, and cafes.

Please note that the listing description for the Grande Landing says “Entire Home” as this is the best selection that Airbnb offers to describe the space. The Grande has a private front and back door and no internal spaces are shared with other guests. However, there are two other separate, private units under the same roof in the home. If you need more room The Lacroix Grande Landing and the Luxe Landing are both on the first floor and if rented together you have the entire first floor. There is also an upstairs unit – The Lacroix Loft – that can accommodate up to 6 guests. If the whole home (all three units) is booked, you can sleep up to 15 people.

In addition, I operate a separate property in north Covington, LA on 18 beautiful acres with river access called “Sleepy Lagoon Cottage”. Newly renovated in 2020, the cottage is a 3Bed/2Bath home that sleeps 8.
