The Lacroix Luxe Landing embodies the true essence of Southern Historic homes with 10 feet ceilings, original hard wood floors, original bead board walls, French doors, transom windows, thick base boards and trim, huge wood windows, ceiling fans, new recessed lighting, and a fireplace for those cold winter nights. The bathroom is constructed of slate floors and walk-in shower with custom antique cabinetry. There is a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, coffee pot, electric burners, pots, pans, utensils, dinnerware, glassware, coffee/sugar/creamer, trash bags, towels, and a “Louisiana Welcome Basket” of sorts with local snacks and drinks. The Luxe Landing also has a bistro hardwood table and lounge chairs for dining. Beds have a Tempur-Pedic foam mattress with mattress pad for the ultimate in restful sleep. Front bedroom has 2 ceiling fans for added circulation and big bright windows and has a large California King bed. There is a large flat screen SmartTV with cable above the gas fireplace. The Front bedroom has a French door that opens onto the front porch that has swings and wicker outdoor chairs. The back bedroom is a Queen, has one fan, same TV accommodations, and a door that leads onto the back deck. The back deck features outdoor sectionals, umbrellas, TV, tables. The bathroom has towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner and body wash and the beds both have linens, throws, and extra pillows. @lacroixcovington

The downtown Covington area is beautiful and quaint…perfect for strolling along the streets for shopping and dining. The Bogue Falaya Park is a short walk down the street, giving access to a huge playground and strolls along the Bogue Falaya River. There are numerous churches nearby, as well as a grocery store, coffee shops, and bars. The Tammany Trace (a bike/walk/run trail) is nearby, with bikes and kayaks to rent. There are free live music events often happening in the downtown area, as well as a popular Saturday morning Farmer’s Market. There’s something for everyone in downtown Covington!

There is much to see and do within walking distance of The Lacroix! But if you’re wishing to travel further out, the Covington area is serviced by both Uber and Lift ride share services.

The Luxe has a private front and back door and no internal spaces are shared with other guests. However, there are two other separate, private units under the same roof of the home. If you need more room The Lacroix Grande Landing and the Luxe Landing are both on the first floor and if rented together you have the entire first floor. There is also an upstairs unit, The Lacroix Loft Apartment, that can accommodate up to 6 guests. If the whole home (all three units) is booked, you can sleep up to 15 people.
