St Michael’s Cottage is an 18th-century hideaway, located in the heart of the medieval town of Malmesbury. Formerly part of the church counting house, the cottage is now a comfortable and well-appointed self catering holiday home. As well as the town’s charm and amenities being on the doorstep, there are also the Abbey House and Gardens and England’s oldest hotel, The Bell Inn, literally seconds walk away.
St Michael’s Cottage is a spacious open planned cottage set over 2 floors.
Ground floor:
On entering the property you will find an open planned kitchen, dinning area and sitting room with TV, DVD player and Internet TV. You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen which seats four and contains a washing machine, microwave, fridge, freezer, electric cooker and gas hob.
First floor:
Master bedroom with king sized bed, chest of drawers and an amazing view directly onto the Abby ruins and garden.
The second bedroom comes with a double bed and built in wardrobe. There is plenty of room in this bedroom for an airbed for a child.
The bathroom comes with bath and shower attachment, basin and WC.
The cottage is ideally situated for touring and walking in this part of England, with easy access to the rest of the Cotswolds. With its bustling towns and charming villages, and the Georgian city of Bath all within an easy drive.
The cottage is fully equipped with everything you will need. With its unique location of being in the historical centre of the town you are able to walk everywhere within minutes or even just a few seconds !

St Michaels is a very a unique property set in the middle of the grounds of the Abby garden with its own private entrance. The property is fully equipped with everything you would need. The historical centre of the town is minutes walk.
Malmesbury is a town and civil parish in Wiltshire, England. As a market town it became prominent in the Middle Ages as a centre for learning focused on and around Malmesbury Abbey, the bulk of which forms a rare survival of the dissolution of the monasteries. Once the site of an Iron Age fort, in the Anglo-Saxon period it became the site of a monastery famed for its learning and one of Alfred the Great’s fortified burhs for defence against the Vikings, the first king of all England, was buried in Malmesbury Abbey when he died in 939
Parking is restricted in the historic centre of Malmesbury but there is a long term car bay next to the river behind the cottage which has easy access. There are also a range of parking bays on the high street.
